Jenis Bahan: Bahan yang berbeda menyerap energi laser pada tingkat yang berbeda-beda, yang mempengaruhi kecepatan pemotongan. Logam dengan reflektifitas yang lebih tinggi, seperti aluminium dan tembaga, biasanya memerlukan kecepatan yang lebih rendah.
Kekuatan Laser: Laser dengan daya yang lebih tinggi dapat memotong bahan yang lebih tebal dengan kecepatan yang lebih cepat. Sebagai contoh, laser 500W dapat memotong baja 1mm dengan kecepatan 10 m/menit, sedangkan laser 3kW dapat mencapai 35 m/menit untuk bahan dan ketebalan yang sama.
